Photograph caption dated May 6, 1960 reads, "Attending opening ceremonies of third section of widened and realigned Sunland boulevard were, from left, Stanley Malone, president, Sun Valley Chamber of Commerce; Miss Sun Valley, Karen MacNamera; Councilman Everett Burkhalter, and Supervisor Warren M. Dorn. Boulevard improvement between Tuxford street and Wornom avenue is part of milion-dollar [sic] project to insure good highway between Sun Valley and Sunland-Tujunga."
