Photograph article dated October 26, 1963 partially reads, "A turnaway crowd in excess of 8,000 cramed its way into Taft's diminutive stadium, and the overflow ringed the field behind the distant fences, as Birmingham defeated the Taft Toreadors 48-0 last night for its fourth straight West Valley League victory." Photograph caption reads, "Big Birmingham High School linemen wait for fullback Sam Tate, 40, of Taft High - Tackle Frank Arrigo, 70, and middle guard Bill Brucker, 75, were big help in Birmingham's 48-0 win."
