Cordwood made from thinnings in Stand of Second-Growth Fir, Alder and Redwood. Most of the Fir and Alder was removed. For thinnings of 2nd growth the yield would average 32 cords per acre. Freshwater, August, 1923. Redwood average age 50 yrs. Fir trees showed age to be 63 yrs
