Photograph caption dated December 19, 1960 reads, "Dr. Kenneth Ericson, left, vice president of the Valley Plaza Kiwanis Club, gives a club check for $125 to Horace F. Stinson, acting principal of the Lowman School for Handicapped Children in North Hollywood. The money will be used to buy special equipment for youngsters attending the special public school. The club also gave a pair of special canes to Mary Novak, 8, a cerebral palsy victim, seen in the foreground with Jim Terrell, chairman of club's underprivileged children's committee."
