The Canoga Park Eagle Scout will journey to San Francisco tomorrow to compete with eight other boys from the Western states for the honor of flying to Washington in June to confer with Kennedy on scouting. The presidential conference will be in connecton with the June 16 observance of National Charter Day and the Scouts' "Report to the Nation" program. Selection of the youth, a member of Troop 502, Woodland Hills, was based on his background in scouting, school, church and community. The judges will cast their votes for the West Coast boy after interviewing all entrants. The winner will be among 12 scouts in the nation who will have the opportunity to go to Washington."
