The fence post peeling and balling plant of the Wheeler Bridge & Timber Company of Minneapolis. These red and jack pines are brought in as 100 inch lengths - same as pulpwood, but selected for straightness. They bring $16.00 per cord instead of $13.00 for pulpwood. Five men peel, sort and bale 1500 posts per day in sizes 6, 5, 4, 3, and 2 top diam. Bundles weight 5000 lbs. green and contain from 50 to 120 or more posts. Barking machine is a "Hurricane".
