Description
Pupils of 8th grade in the school Benjamin Escande of the Société des missions évangéliques de Paris (Paris evangelical missionary society), in Ambositra.
The school was named in memory of Benjamin Escande. The missionary was killed near the market of Ambatondradama, at twenty kilometers from the post of Ramainandro, the 20th of May 1897, when he was on his way to the Betsileo. He was buried in the cemetery of the London Missionary Society in Ramainandro.
