Description
Famous figures of a man seated in "maharajalilāsana" and a horse, carved out of the living rock. According to Senerat Paranavitana, it is "a representation of Parjana, the personification of the Cloud, and the horse symbolizes Agni, the Fire God, and the sculpture most probably was concerned with some kind of popular agricultural ritual." In less ornamented Indian Pallava-style with elongated features. Height: 0.950 meters.
