Photograph article dated October 18, 1960 partially reads, "When the winter months begin rolling around, most youngsters start thinking of Christmas wishes. A 14-year-old San Fernando girl is no exception. She would like to meet her favorite recording star, Elvis Presley. She would like a lot of new clothes and some books. But, she also has a special wish! She would like to have a malfunction in her heart corrected by surgery. Dark-haired Renette Sherrell, 14336 Chamberlain St., has had a heart problem most of her life. She has had two operations since 1952 in efforts to correct the problem."
