Photograph caption dated August 17, 1989 reads, "Grinding apples for cider was one taste of pioneer life sampled by inner-city kids from 9th Street Summer Day Camp yesterday. The 'Hands-on-History' event was led by teachers from the Pioneer Farm Museum in Edenville, Wash., as part of a 16-city nationwide tour."
