Description
This idyllic painted view circa 1910 was published by Ferdinand Kohler, director of the Phoenix Milling Company, to promote the company’s specialty product, “White Rose Wheat Flakes.” The first Phoenix Flouring Mill was established in Sacramento in 1853 and operated under several owners and in different locations until it was dissolved by the State in 1928 after selling out earlier to the Globe Milling Company.
