Photograph caption dated May 2, 1963 reads, "When Julie Holguin, 17, a student at Garfield High School, Los Angeles, learned she won the Los Angeles Senior High School division's annual posture contest, poof went her straight back and the tight tummy. Julie, center, couldn't believe it and she doubled over in quick surprise. Other winners were Les Staszak, 17, also a student at Garfield, best posture for boys in the senior division; and Tibor Fuchs, 14, of Pasteur Junior High School, and Melanie Katz, 14, of Sun Valley and Madison Junior High School, winners of the Boys' and girls' divisions of the Junior High School division. Judging by a panel of doctors and physical education specialists was held Wednesday at Hollywood High School."
