Description
"This arena--Crummer Field--was owned by Mr. Crummer, who allowed the Malibu Riders Club to have horse shows on his property. The Malibu Civic Center was built later in the background of this photo. In 1958, Ronald Reagan was the Grand Marshal of the 'Play Days' Gymkhana. The Malibu Riders Club was founded by Percy Meek, who also founded the Trancas Riders and Ropers later. My father, Asa Smith, was President of the Malibu Riders Club from 1955 to 1957."
