Photograph of a pipeline on the Los Angeles Aqueduct bringing water from Owens Valley to Los Angeles, ca.1950. A large, long length of metal pipe can be seen penetrating the left foreground in an exaggerated perspective, while farther back the pipe can be seen running up the mountain in the distance. Each section of pipe is riveted to the next and appears to be resting on a stone foundation.
