Photograph article dated March 8, 1963 partially reads, "Cleone Vrabel, a Pacoima resident, is as happy as a school kid about her pen pal. The pen pal, an Estonian refugee named Maie Orgusaar, and she have just resumed their correspondence after a few interruptions. Such as 22 years, World War II, several thousand miles, the marriage of each of them and Maie's escape from both the Communists and Nazis. The two corresponded from 1938 to 1941 when Mrs. Vrabel was a high school student in St. Paul, Minn., and Mrs. Orgusaar was as student in Estonia. World War II exploded near Mrs. Orgusaar's homeland, however, and cut short their letter writing. Mrs. Vrabel thought it was for good. But on Jan. 3 this year, she got a letter from Mrs. Orgusaar telling how, by incredible fortune, she had found Mrs. Vrabel."
