Description
Derek Rhys sits alone on top of a massive bulldozer during a standoff between the environmental group Earth First and developers of a proposed housing tract in Caballero Canyon above Tarzana. The activists won the first round when developers agreed to halt construction until a meeting is held between Councilman Marvin Braude and representatives from the group. Photograph dated June 6, 1989.
