Vincent Korda was born on June 22, 1897. in Turkeve in the then Austro-Hungarian Empire. He became a respected motion picture art director and was nominated for four Academy Awards, winning once, for The thief of Bagdad. He died on January 4, 1979. They are the parents of writer Michael Korda. Photograph caption dated October 21, 1947 reads "Gets divorce by default--not by mail order." Mrs. Korda, know on stage as Gertrude Musgrove, was married to Vincent Korda.
