Darryl Strawberry, pitching for Crenshaw High, the year he was the No. 1 draft pick in the amateur draft. The year before, Strawberry's Cougars lost to Granada Hills (and a pitcher named John Elway) in the finals of the city championships. Later, Strawberry played for the Dodgers for three seasons (1991-1993). Photograph dated May 6, 1980.
