Welch, a Senior Scout, is one of three and one half million girl and adult members of the Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. which celebrates its 50th anniversary on March 12. Photograph article partially reads, "The cheerful girl who makes up a hospital bed or brings the luncheon tray could be Pam Welch, 15-year-old Birmingham High School student and Senior Scout of Troop 1832 of Encino. Miss Welch has achieved the Curved Bar Rank in her troop, and has worked 34 hours as a hospital aide at Brierwood Terrace Convalescent Hospital in Encino." Photograph dated March 10, 1962.
