He was married to Marie Engel, née Harmening. From 1937 to 1944 he served in South Africa. Afterwards he worked as a missionary in Germany. -- Hermann Grabe (1901-1984) was a ship carpenter and deacon. He was a missionary of the Hermannsburg mission in Ethiopia from 1927 to 1935.
