Description
Earl Hamner discusses his book, “Generous Women.” He begins by explaining how he got inspiration from his book from all the women who have helped him in life. He talks about specific people in his life: his mother, aunts, neighbors, and his wife Jane. He describes his career in the radio business, working for NBC radio, and how he got to interview friends of famous people. Hamner talks about the publishing process of his book and how quickly a book can become published. He discusses how he spent years writing for the television show, “The Waltons.” Hamner ends the interview by reading a passage from his book about his wife.
