Photograph article dated November 18, 1961 partially reads, "Lake Arrowhead is a small body of water almost completely surrounded by big mortgages. Everybody at the resort is real estate happy. Ask someone for directions, and the response is likely to be: 'Turn left at that lovely lot with the big bull pines that sells for only $14,900, then go for about a half a mile until you pass that great new A-frame house you can pick up at a bargain for only $105,000, then it's only a short distance to the new subdivision and from there you turn left to the real estate office, which is right next to the hardware store.'... Historically, Californians, along with others, have been visiting this beautiful lake since the dam creating it was finished in 1911. And this is truly its golden anniversary." Photograph caption reads, "Snow blankets Arrowhead Village during the winter. The 'cool' sports season will bring throngs to the resort area."; See image #00133504 for additional photo in this series.
