Description
This old building at 1719 South Figueroa Street, which was built by the Ebell club in 1905 and housed the club for 22 years, is being torn down and another chapter of Los Angeles history being closed. The friendly old building, with vine-hung eaves and welcoming patio, cost $25,000 and the furnishing $7500, was considered the ultimate for any organization of women. Today, it is an empty shell in the hands of wreckers, it having been entirely abandoned. Photo dated: December 20, 1929.
