Between 1954 and 1990, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul leased several different grounds for its boys summer camp program. St. Vincent de Paul Ranch Camp was located in the Santa Susana Mountains in Granada Hills until it was destroyed by fire. In 1990, the Society purchased Circle V Camp near Santa Barbara for co-ed summer camps. Photograph caption dated July 19, 1958 reads, "Camp staff director and seminarian Don Reiman spins rope for attentive group as one of day's activities. Swimming, baseball, archery are also offered at ranch which once belonged to cowboy Gene Autry. Information on program is obtained at Los Angeles society headquarters."
