Description
Photograph of panorama of downtown Los Angeles from 7th Street and Broadway, 1903. To the far left, part of a wide street can be seen with tracks running along its center. Several pedestrians can be seen standing along the sidewalk near large homes. At center, another wide street can be seen extending into the extreme background. At least eight railcars can be seen traveling along the street with several pedestrians walking nearby. Along the left side of the road, a row of small awnings can be seen extending from the sides of the large buildings. Between the two streets, clusters of buildings can be seen extending into the extreme background. To the right, additional buildings are visible. At the far right, the incomplete frame for a large building is visible. In the background at right, clouds of smoke rise from a group of smokestacks. Along the horizon at center, a mountain range is barely visible through the smog.
