Description
Senator and presidential candidate John F. Kennedy is joined by fellow Senator George Smathers (far right) during a celebratory buffet luncheon at the Biltmore Hotel. Held a day after the conclusion of the Democratic National Convention, the luncheon took place in Sen. Smathers three-room suite at the hotel. Warm and smoggy weather proved uncomfortable for the 200 luncheon guests. Photograph dated July 16, 1960.
