Description
The first four graduates of George Pepperdine College pose with other students as the college honored womanhood in a May Day ceremony. Seated is Carmen Landrum, first woman graduate, flanked by Irma Coons (L) and Marilyn Pepperdine. The other three graduating seniors--Malcolm Hinckley, Paul Tucker, and, Richard Gibson--stand behind Landrum. Dean Hugh M. Tiner (L) and President Batsell Baxter (R) are on the sides of the back row. Helen Maddox, the future Mrs. M. Norvel Young, stands fourth from the right. The President's Home is in the background. complete;
