Description
Photo shows the front side of an envelope of a letter that traveled around the world by air and arrived in Los Angeles today. It was mailed by Major E. Edgar Atkins, who paid postage of $4.86 on it, and was addressed to Warren Harding Atkins at 2832 Sunset Place. Carried by the Yankee Clipper and 10 other air lines, the letter is the first to circle the globe by air. Photo dated: July 29, 1939.
