Photograph caption dated April 24, 1959 reads, "Miss Meryl Adams, swim instructor, adjusts straps as special hydraulic lift lowers Sara Jones, 7, into swimming pool at Lowman School for physically handicapped children in North Hollywood. Children learn to use damaged limbs in gentle waters of pool. Parents of students raised funds for pool and its special equipment over several years of campaigns."
