Photograph caption dated April 20, 1956 reads "Jim Saras will be trying for some of the few points Stanford is expected to score against the powerhouse USC Trojan track and field team tomorrow afternoon at the Coliseum. USC is a prohibitive favorite, having whipped Occidental emphatically after Oxy beat the Indians. Coach Jess Mortensen of USC is expected to shift his men around and not try to run up the score."
