Gift i 1964 med den danske lærer Kirsten Soren (1938-2014). Familien fik 2 børn: Daniel Kim (1968) og Lilion (1971). De opholdt sig i Grahampur, Assam de følgende 6 år. Fra 1967 blev Santosh Soren leder af et landbrugsudviklingsprojekt i Santalkolonien, Assam, som af forskellige årsager måtte opgives efter nogle år. I 1971 bosatte familien Soren sig i Danmark.- Santosh Sorens fremtidige arbejde: Af Norsk Santalmisjon, Oslo blev han bedt om at oversætte Santaltekster fra Paul Olav Boddings historiske materiale. Et arbejde Santosh også senere har været involveret i (aktuelt i forbindelse med Boddings 150 års dag, 02.11.2015). 1973-75 var Santosh souschef ved Mornai Tehave, Assam. Fra 1975-79 fik han uddannelse på Danmarks Biblioteksskole, og har så siden arbejdet indenfor dette felt. (Anvendt i: Santalposten nr 9/1962 & 3/1963)

Santosh K. Soren, born 1938. School education in Grahampur, Assam, North India. Agronomist education in Jorhat, Assam. Further education in Denmark from July 1962 – one year at Kalø Agriultural School followed by practice with the farm owner, Hartwig Andersen for two years. Married in 1964 to the Danish teacher Kirsten Soren (1938-2014). The family har 2 kids: Daniel Kim (1968) and Lilion (1971). They were based in Grahampur, Assam the following 6 years. From 1967 Santosh became manager of an agricultural development project in the Santal Colony of Assam, which for various reasons had to be abandoned. In 1971 the Soren family settled in Denmark. The future work of Santosh Soren: By the Norwegian Santal Mission, Oslo, he was asked to translate Santal texts from P. O. Bodding's historical material. A work Santosh also later has been involved in (at present due to Bodding's 150th anniversary, 02/11/2015). - 1973-75, Santosh was deputy manager of the Mornai Tea Garden in Assam. From 1975-79 he attended the education at the Royal Danish Library School. Then his future work became within this field. (Used in: Santalposten no. 9/1962 & 3/1963).
