The Mannequins of the Assistance League of Southern California presents its annual Eve award to the best dressed women of the area. Photograph caption dated May 4, 1964 reads "Left, enthusiastic over the way things progressed, from left, are Mmes. Thomas C. Leahy, chairman of the Mannequins; Truman Van Dyke Jr., North Hollywood, benefit chairman and Mrs. William Pollack, a Valley member of Mannequins." The article partially reads "Mannequins of the Assistance League of Southern California marked another successful Afternoon with Eve benefit and paid tribute in fashion to 'the eternal woman.' An estimated 450 women attended the ninth annual event held this year in the gardens of the Los Angeles home of Siruphe (sic) Philibosian."
