Photograph caption dated May 22, 1958 reads, "To aid the current funds drive of the San Fernando Association for Retarded Children the Valley Times has donated a 16-piece set of California Ivy dinnerware. Set will be sold to help swell building fund. Emery Potter, Valley Times office manager, presents dinnerware to Mrs. Elsie Schiowitz, Ways and Means chairman of the association."
