Manager Walt Alston said he would start Drysdale and Johnny Podres against the Angels in the first game of their city series at Dodger Stadium April 6. The next day he plans to use Sandy Koufax and Bob Miller." Photograph caption reads, "Dodgers' Koufax sharpens arm in spring exhibition game...Ace southpaw will work in City Series against Angels in Chavez Ravine."
