Description
A door framed in wood with a beam crossing the front of it in the Higuera-Galindo Adobe. A person who is not entirely visible holds the beam in place. This photograph was taken during the restoration process. The building was restored and preserved by historical architect Gilbert Sanchez and contractor C.F. Buckley in 1978 and was the first adobe in California restored using authentically rebuilt non-stabilized adobe bricks and plaster rather than modern substances.
