Description
View of a section of the Hollywood Freeway bottleneck that brought angry blasts from citizens and city officials. Protest finally paid off with a speed-up in construction work. Contractor now says traffic will be able to pass over the final 1.4 mile link by mid-April, although ramps and shoulders won't be complete. The bridge over Highland Avenue (right) will be open. Photo dated: January 27, 1954.
