Group photograph taken "at the Kirby according to a note written on the back. Pictured are Dr. F. W. Bliss, Miss Ora Kirby, Mr. S. H. Bailey, Mrs. F. W. Bliss, Mrs. S. H. Bailey, Miss Cornelia Kirby, Mr. R. C. Kirby. McKenney's District Directory for 1879, lists Frank W. Bliss as a dentist with his office on Pacific Avenue. R.C. Kirby is listed as the proprietor of a tannery. S.H. Bailey had a store on Pacific Avenue, selling watches and jewelry. In the Santa Cruz City Directory for 1902, Bliss is still listed as a dentist. Also listed is another dentist, Dr. C.L. Bliss. Kirby is also listed in the 1902 Directory--retired and living at "Pope House Cottage." Bailey is still a jeweler on Pacific Avenue.
