V1p369a In PHOTO ALBUM-VAULT: ** fc917.9461 A3, Vol. I, page 369 top. This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco." Text written to right of photo: "Hotel Holland Ellis Street bet. Powell and Mason Streets 1906." View shows the narrow, twelve-story Hotel Holand on the south side of Ellis between Powell and Mason. A wagon from Sheerin's Laundry is parked in front of it. Many new buildings can be seen in the area. The basements in the foreground, across the street from the Holland, are about to be built over, judging by the stacked bricks and lumber.
