Photograph of a view of refrigerator cars in front of a large warehouse in the Central Manufacturing District, [s.d.]. Five wood sheathed refrigerator cars can be seen on separate tracks in the foreground. They are all butted up against loading platforms connected to the warehouse, which can be seen at left. The tall building has two rows of large glass windows running along its entire length. Terracotta tiles are visible on top of its flat roof. The car nearest the camera is stenciled "Ventilated Refrigerator". Legible signs include, from left: "[?]amond Produce Co.", "Pacific Fruit Express", "P.F.E. 71991", "Union Pacific Railroad", "S.F.R.D 24056", "Continental Produce Co.", and "S.F.R.D. 23767". The cars initialed "S.F.R.D" belonged to the Santa Fe Refrigerator Department, which was a part of the Santa Fe Railway.
