Images were chosen from family albums and include daily life, social organizations, work, personal and holiday celebrations, and migration and immigration activities. Title supplied by cataloger.; Image is a reproduction. Annie Mae sits with her daughters Eleanor, left, and Alice on the steps of the front porch of their home at 1227 N. Commonwealth Avenue in East Hollywood. The house was built by Annie Mae's husband, Robert Benjamin. They both moved to California from Atlanta around 1910, before their marriage.
