Description: Long shot of the Pantages Theater, showing the marquee and some of the crowd that showed up for the 27th annual Academy Awards presentation on March 31, 1955. The entire block between Argyle Avenue and Vine Street on Hollywood Blvd. was roped off, and the stars got out of their autos from all four lanes of traffic.
