Photograph caption dated January 3, 1957 reads, "Painter rescued after rooftop slip - Firemen and ambulance attendants carefully lower Joseph P. McLarin from fire truck's bed where he had been lowered by ladder from rooftop of new wing at Pacific Telephone Co. building, 11272 Magnolia Blvd. Spectacular rescue followed McLarin's fall from 20-foot scaffold. McLarin is brother of former world champion boxer Jimmy McLarin."
