Description
Commonly referred to as a "foxtail" agave, due to the appearance of the flower stem (inflorescence) which Hertrich is here supporting. MS note on verso says "Agave attenuata blooming for the first time in about 1911." William Hertrich was Superintendent of Botanical from 1927 to 1949.
