Description
Another talk in the Sideways at Laguna Art Museum series. Irving Blum was one of Los Angeles's first successful contemporary art dealers. Blum ran the Ferus Gallery from 1958-1967 and continued with his own gallery. He was the first to show Andy Warhol's soup cans and Los Angeles pop artists such as Ed Ruscha, Robert Irwin, Craig Kauffman, Larry Bell and Ed Moses. He was very influencial in bridging the work of East and West Coast pop artists.
