Photograph article dated September 18, 1961 partially reads, "A two-ton automobile driven by a good citizen is more potentially lethal to a Valley motorcycle traffic officer than is a gun in the hands of a madman. "There are a lot more cops hurt in traffic accidents," one veteran motor officer said, "than are shot." In the Valley there are 84 such motorcycle policemen who must keep a defensive, wary eye open for the 'good citizens.'" An unidentified motorcycle officer keeps an eye out for speeding motorists.
