Description
Sailboat enthusiasts enjoy only one aspect of the large body of water which is San Francicso Bay. The most important single physical feature of the region, the bay is important for its transportation uses, as a wildlife breeding area, for its effect on climate , and for esthetic reasons as well as for recreation. Indiscriminate filling of its tidelands has been called a major danger to its water and the population living by its shores.
