Photo--color: Ed Rainford (1946-1968) in uniform with his three younger brothers and two army friends at an airport in December 6, 1967 before departure to Vietnam. L to R: Bob Rainford, Ed Rainford, Charlie (in uniform), Harry Rainford, Larry Jones (in uniform) and Jerry Rainford. Sebastopol resident Spec-4 Edward George Rainford was wounded in combat on June 13, 1968 and was helicoptered to the USS Hope. Rainford was able to call home a few days before he died. He is interred at Calvary Cemetery in Santa Rosa. Rainford attented Analy High School and was one of 12 children of Mr. & Mrs. John Rainford.
