Description
Connie and Steven begin the interview discussing the context of the novel and the setting in an Irish fishing village, its ransacking and destruction by Vikings, and the enslavement of the men, women, and children captured. Connie then has Steven read a passage from the book before moving on to a discussion of the differences between Old World and New World slavery and the characters in the book. They proceed to talk about Steven’s methods in researching and writing the novel before discussing several more characters in the book. Connie closes the interview requesting an autograph for her copy of the book.
