Page 285 center, labeled "Portola Celebration" on left and "Conteindials [sic]-Portola Day Celebration" underneath. This photo shows a military formation in Revolutionary War era uniforms, so perhaps Dobbin meant "Continentals." Photo looking northeast on Market from Van Ness. Page 285 bottom, labeled "League of the Cross Cadets Portola Day 1910." Photo shows cadets marching westward. View looks northeast on Market from just west of Polk. The Grand Central Hotel is visible on the left; the Whitcomb Hotel can be seen in the distance on the left. Page 286 top, labeled "Portola Celebration 1910."
