Description
Photograph of a panoramic view of the plant of Los Angeles Compress and Warehouse Company, Los Angeles Harbor, July 1930. The roof surface of several adjacent buildings cover the foreground area. To the right, a partially visible field (?) of cotton sheds is visable. Additional buildings can be seen in the background, while what appears to be the ocean or a lake continues into the distance. A small sign can be seen in the left foreground, which reads: "[...] Angeles [...] & Warehouse Co." A paper label attached to the photonegative reads: "In the middle foreground are towers of Compresses No. 1 and No. 2 surrounded by 50,000 square feet of cotton storage sheds." Cataloger's note: CHS-48210B is a crop of CHS-48210.
